Twins 14th Birthday

16 teenagers descended on us on Saturday and they were quickly dispatched to all corners of Sumner, boys vs girls on this adventure race, which the boys managed to win decisively on points. Below is each stage and the entries they made.

1. Walk to Redcliffs yacht club. Group photo taken in front of the yacht that's on the slipway. You must ask someone passing by to take the photo. 5 points for completing the challenge. Marked out of 5 points for creativity.

2. Group photo in front of shag pile. You must ask someone passing by to take the photo. 5 points for completing the challenge. Marked out of 5 points for danger.

3. Go to the esplanade and Ghost. You must successfully video one of your team ghosting a stranger for 10sec before being discovered. 5 points for completing the challenge. Marked out of 5 for creativity.






4. Go to Scarborough Fare cafe and you must video one of your team ordering 5 chai lattes in a perfect American accent. 5 points for completion and marked out of 5 for accent believability.





5. Back to esplanade. You must video one of your team singing a love song to a complete stranger. 5 points for completion and marked out of 5 for passionate performance.





6. Still on the esplanade. You must video one of your team performing a dance on the esplanade wall but only after there are lots of people watching. 5 points for completion plus 1 point for each complete stranger videoed watching the performance.





7. Go into the village and you must video one of your team helping a complete stranger with some task. 5 points for completion and marked out of 5 for helpfulness.





8. Walk home up the Zig Zag. Snap a photo of one of your team planking somewhere on the Zig Zag. 5 points for completion and marked out of 5 for weirdness.

9. When you get to brownlie reserve park find a suitable tree and climb it. 1 point given for each person you get in the tree at once. Must snap a photo of it.

10. Get your entire team back to base. First team home will gain 1 point for every 5 minutes they are ahead of the other team. [Boys were ahead by 24 mins thanks to cleverly utilising scooters and long boards].
